Default how much fluid is required to flush & fill the convertible pump?

I found that it requires Pentosin CHF 11S Hydraulic Oil, anyone know how much of it is needed?

edit: this is for a 2003 XK8, if that makes any difference.

A single 1 liter can is more than enough.

A 1 liter can will do it. I used a 50cc syringe with aquarium tubing to empty the tank and refill with fresh oil. I cycled the top a few times and then emptied and refilled again. I did this three times overall and still have some left in the orginal can. Using this method you won't have to remove the pump.

The 2003 XK should already have the Pentosin CHF11S so flushing should not be required.
It does not break down like the UNIVIS in the early XK conv.

Hello, what about the 2001 XKR?
I had the green shower about 3 or so years ago.
The hoses were replaced and repairs made by Jaguar dealer.
Would they change the oil at that time to the upgraded product? complete or would they just top off for lost fluid!

Is there a way to tell what oil is in my unit now?
Color, smell, Taste! LOL.

Thanks for any info you may have or think of.

Happy Motoring...

2001s had the upgraded oil, which is green in color. You should be fine. The old problem fluid was yellow.

Just in case . . . I bought 2 liters.

Second can available to anyone buying lunch in the Georgia Mountains.

Such a deal!
