I see you've owned a 2006 victory edition. I own one now, love it. it is the black copper exterior and {creme?} interior. do you have stats on how many VE were made in a convertible? how many in the black copper {1yr only color]

1,050 total victory edition cars were made in 2006 ( I have a blue one). don't know the numbers for each color

 

Actually, the "1,050" is an early factoid put out by Jaguar PR and not the actual production number for the Victory Edition. The final production count was:

Total of 1,119 Victory Editions produced for US only

XK8 Convert 617

XKR Convert 382

XK8 Coupe 67

XKR Coupe 53

Also, although the VE was produced as a 2006 "model year" vehicle, all were actually built in calendar year 2005, mostly in the Spring.

 

Which "special" VE blue do you have, Bay Blue Metallic or Frost Blue Metallic? I know the owner of a Bay Blue. He tells me that JDHT informed him: "that mine is one of only 74 made in Bay Blue. (They only offered it on the XK8 convertible--none of the other VE variants.)"

 

Hi Mike! That's me--Bay Blue VE one of 74. I was hoping you'd see this thread. To the OP: JDHT can tell you the answer on the Copper Black, but you'll have to give them their research fee, which is not onerous. Just go to their website. I absolutely love the Copper Black too. When I bought my Bay Blue, the seller had a Copper Black one for sale too. He held on to it for another few months and then sold it on BaT. Wondering if you bought yours from Val Cristea?
