I have a 2000 xk8 convertible and am looking for the small oval plastic plate that holds the three garage door opener buttons. I have ivory seats and this oval plate looks to be a creamish tan. One of the side clips that holds it onto the larger overhead console has broken.

The hole console is no longer available and they don't sell that piece without the whole console.

Does anyone have any ideas?

There was one one ebay yesterday for a convertible. If you find one, could I buy your broken plate. I just have the 3 holes. I am on disability, and have been putting my car together with things other people are getting rid of. I have been able to repair everything so far, except my power mirror control. I even took my wiper motor apart, and replaced the microswitch with one I had in my tool box. I know it sounds kind of insane, but it fills my day, and I like fixing things. I just checked, and there are still 3. Just punch in Jaguar XK8 garage door opener One of them is buy it now for $150, and the other one, that I recognize is at $100 with one bid.....Be cool.....Mike

Thank you for finding that on ebay. I don't need the whole upper console just the small oval piece that snaps into the whole console and just holds the 3 garage door opener buttons.
