Default I need a radiator...a.s.a.p...!!!

Hi all,

I have a BIG problem....I have been looking around for days trying to find a reasonably priced Radiator...I found one on EBAY...ordered it...and payed.

However...I just recieved notice that the seller cancelled the transaction because he had found a crack in the radiator...so I'm glad on one hand but pissed off on the other...

Anyways...if anyone knows where I can get a good used radiator...or a NEW one for a decent price (under $800) please let me know.

Thanks

I doubt you will find a new one for less than $800 with shipping. I suggest going to a wrecking yard, they will run $400 or so. You might start with Coventry West or Motorcasrs ltd.

Thanks....I will check them out.

I found a few for less than $750...but that is still very expensive for a radiator....guess I knew it would be though.

If you come across one let me know...I appreciate all the help I can get.

You should be ok with any radiator from a 2000 thru 2002. I checked www.car-part.com and found this one. Its the only listing that shows from a s/c, as a n/a won't fit your car. But, some of the other listings may actually be from an XKR, won't know until you call.

Nissen made the originals and they are easy to find. I just paid $460 for mine w/free shipping, in fact I got it today.

I really apprecaite all the help you guy's are giving me here....I'm no cheapskate...but I would rather not pay so much for a radiator if I can avoid it.

Funny to me how much more expensive it is for an XKR radiator as opposed to an XK8....maybe there's something I don't know..??

There are relatively few XKRs. Parts made in smaller quantities tend to cost more to make, and cost more to carry in inventory since they are slow sellers.

Default radiator

I replaced mine about 6 months ago. I paid 650 for it brand new. You'll never guess where I got it......Advance auto parts! It was a perfect match. I couldn't believe it until I had it side by side with my old one comparing all the ports and connections.

Randyb has an XK8, not the same radiator as your XKR.
