Hi, Does anyone have a good used seat module for sale. 97 XK8, part number LJA2160AF/XXX. Mine will not move the seat back from recline.

 

Also, where do i find the XXX code?

What is the XXX you are looking for? In my world XXX is not found on this forum!

 

gus, the XXX is the VCATS code, however i cannot find any VCATS sticker in the trunk. unfortunately my circuit board has no visable defects on it so the repair of the traces does not appear to be an option.

On a '97 the vcats sticker should be on the side of the well beside the spare tire. Mine was visible but you may have to remove the spare to see it.

The /xxx is important. Without the label you might be forced to go to a dealer to 'read' the coding via their diagnostic equipment.

Call ken@motorcars.ltd, he's got a small salvage operation with XK8s in it. Might get lucky.

 

Ok, I have looked everywhere in the boot, under everything, and no VCATS sticker. Does anyone know how i can retreave this info?

Look on other modules, like the other seat module. The /xxx will be the same.

Speaking of Motorcars Ltd., they have the best prices around on brake rotors and were most helpful in CHAT and on the phone.

 

I took out the other module this morning, and it has the same part number with the /XXX.
