Default I'm so happy!

Last month I bought a 2004 xk8 from the local Jaguar dealer. While I did get a car fax I didn't get the repair history. Yesterday I stoped at the service center to pick up a part and to talk to a service manager. I asked him if they had any service history on the car. He looked it up and said that the brake, power steering and coolant had all been changed 10k ago (I was planning on doing that) and that the top hydraulic lines were replaced 12k ago. That explains why the GDO does not work. Additionally, all of the services were performed at the dealer. With a complete oil change right before I picked it up.
This is the nicest car I have ever owned, and knowing that the fluids and top were done only makes it better.

Good news indeed

When I got my car last year, the previous owner didn't know much about what had been done when it comes to the usual parts in the engine (timing chain tensioners, water pump, thermostat) so I got him to cut the price to cover for replacing all those parts.

When the garage started to take the engine apart to get those parts replaced, they found out that it had already been done. Saved me a bunch of money

Spent some of it on a gearbox oil change, which probably hadn't been done on my car.

Congrats Bills. I 2nd the request for pics -)

Positive surprises are always sweet. I bought my 2003 almost a month ago over ebay from another state. The owner didn't know if the sound was premium or standard and music is extremely important to me. I was thrilled to discover it was premium and actually sounds very good. I'm sure I'll upgrade further if the finances allow further in the future but it's one less money sink that's necessary. Also turned out to have Xeon lights which I also wasn't aware of.

Enjoy. These cars make driving a total pleasure.
