Default Improving the shifts on a ZF 6 speed.

Just though I'd post how I got my tranny shifting a lot better. I cleaned my MAF Sensor. Yep finally did it after whinning about it over the Max Performance forum. It was slipping around during acceleration pretty badly and I really can't believe it was that easy. Oh well.

Did you also do a hard-reset after the MAFs, mine was all kinds of goofy RPMs until I did it...in essence, starting from scratch.

I removed it from the air pipe and air filter box, placed it on the floor of the garage atop a towel, and used MAFS cleaner (only) in short, repeated bursts directly into the unit from the TB side, letting it drain outward away from the wires. Did that about 5 times, let it dry for a few minutes, then reinstalled. Don't forget the little heater wire on the side too.

I didn't reset it. I did just as H2O discribed. So much smoother now. Although She's wrapped up the garage right now and the temp here is 3!

You're probably in one of those countries where ice melts at 3 degrees, aren't you?
