Default Installed Head Unit - GPS Screen Not Working

I just installed a new head unit, which works perfectly. Since I completed the install, the GPS screen doesn't power up at all. No clock, nothing, just a black screen.

Is the screen powered by a wire in the OEM radio wiring harness? Or did I just unplug something on accident?

There is a yellow 26-position connector that went to your original headunit. Find the orange wire at position 8 and splice that to +12v. This should allow you to turn on the navigation system again.

Default Same problem here

Hi, I had an aftermarket Kenwood stereo installed and have the same issue, no power to sat nav. Is the yelow plug behind the stereo or the sat nav, and where can I get the 12v supply from? All help appreciated.

The connector he is talking about is behind the stereo, but the orange wire goes to the sat nav display in the dashboard. If everything is already put back together, it will be easier to get to this from the sat nav display end as this comes out very easily (pull the wood dashboard out from the bottom, then you will see a few screws holding the sat nav in place). Get the wiring diagram for your car to find out which wire is a switched positive you can use at the sat nav for the 12v supply.
