whitexkr did a signal sensing, RCA switch in his car, and he posted some details about the product and how it was installed in a few threads over the last couple months. Not sure if you could get a 5mv ipod-compatible car adapter hardwired that will use the iphone's dock line-out, and charge it, then you could utilize the line-out signal to go into the RCA audio switch. I did this recently for a nano, not sure if the iphone would still apply in regards to that 12v charging/dock part.

Bsss-
This thread covers it pretty well. It needs a careful read to see what applies to your model year, but the info is there.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ight=bluetooth

My GVN 53 writeup (link is in my signature) also has additional info on adding the signal sensing switch to the stock Alpine.

The signal sensing switch for audio is pretty much plug and play (if you do not use a preamp), but the bluetooth will require some cable splicing for your model year.

You can also do both audio and bluetooth with wireless FM modulated or self contained solutions...audio quality is less, and they will not use the factory mute, etc. built into the car...but the installations are easier.
