Well done. That is the safest suspended XK8 that I ever saw !

Just one comment regarding the axle stands on the front subframe. I think they are okay in that position, however, don't move them any further backwards (towards the rear of car) as this will increase tension on the Rubber-to-Aluminium bonds within the Vee-Mounts. The Vee-Mounts are only designed for compression by weight of the engine and so can be debonded (Pulled apart) by wrongful jacking of the subframe main cross member.

As I need the car pretty high to gain enough access to remove the mechatronic unit and as I am safety oriented to the extreme I finally devised a way to get the car up enough, not twist the body, not risk it falling or rolling on me, maintain clear space for jack stands appropriately positioned and level the car as needed to properly refill the trans fluid level. I have attached pics of my end result. I did not need to remove the wheels so I first pulled the front up on a pair of ramps. I added ratchet straps through the wheels to the front of the ramps to prevent rearward roll. then I placed a commercial floor jack at both side rear jacking points and raised the car an inch or two per side alternating until the jacks were at max height. Then I placed another set of ramps under the rear tires and lowered the jacks alternating again til the weight was on the wheels. At that point the front was about 1 1/2 inches low in the front so I placed the same jacks at both front corners at the end of the crossmember and raised the "sprung weight" of the car that amount and placed two small stands under the forward lower A arm pivot point and eased the car down on to those. Now the vast majority of the weight of the car is on the tires but a slight bit is at the front stands. Next I placed two more stands at the rear jacking points just touching incase of something I can't imagine. Look hillbilly? Maybe but I'm confident that it's as good as it gets.
That is a work of art! I've never seen anyone go to such lengths before. 😀

Not that you have done this, but jacking up on the front "crossmember", as described in the Jaguar manual, can lead to some very unfortunate situations if you want to raise both front wheels on one jack. I've seen photos/videos where people have used the front crossbrace (the U-section strut) rather than the crossmember and bent that in the middle, even though it is clearly not going to be strong enough, and also videos where people have used the front structural crossmember but have not removed the plastic air deflector which is fixed below the crossmember. As they jack up the car you can hear the deflector cracking and splitting as the plastic is not designed to take the weight of the engine.

Wow, I'm an "artist"! Truthfully, it is amazing to me how long I laid on the shop floor looking under this car trying to figure out how to get this thing up without damaging something. Things that look to be solid structures at first glance prove to be vulnerable upon researching the forum. This was the best I could come up with. So far so good but what goes up must come down so we'll see what happens when the time comes to reverse process. I just hope this is all worth the effort when the service cures all of my trans woes (posted on another thread). Thanks PKWise for the info on the front stands. I may move them to the front where the jacks were located out of an abundance of caution. And thanks to RichardS for reminding me what happened the first time I lifted the car after purchase and damaged the flipping oil pan. It made me very cautious with this princess.
