Hello very new to the jaguar scene.
just bought a second hand jaguar XK8 has a none runner i wont turn over but i do get all the dash lights come on.
i have a diagnostic machine and fault P1777 came up so i googled and i read it could be the TCM would stop the car from turning over.
also noticed when i got the car towed it was in park and we still managed to push the car does this mean its stuck in gear.
would appreciate any help.

 

Sounds as sthough you have a broken shift cable or a disconnected one. If the lever was in the park position and you could push it around then it wasn't in Park. You can try moving the shifter around and see if you can hit neutral. It will start iin neutral or park.
