Default Just one of those days...

Yesterday was probably the last decent day of the year. After a couple of early snow falls and weeks of cold and rain the temp finally hit 65. I decided that it would be nice to go for one last top down cruise. Since I knew that I would be pulling the rear view mirror to get a replacement I left the top down. After I got the mirror out I noticed a spot of fluid on the garage floor near the back of the car. Sure enough, it is hydraulic fluid My initial inspection makes me pretty confident it is the passenger side roof cylinder and not any hoses. I'll have to check how difficult it will be to fix, but that probably won't happen until Spring...unless it is leaking. So now, even after it gets fixed, I will not drop the top until I install this wonderful pressure release valve: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=27132

My lift is leaking and have no intention of changing it until I am sure it is still leaking after the valve install. Now that I installed the pressure valve I am hoping that the reduction in pressure will eliminate the leak.

Wow, you lost me at "the temp finally hit 65.". We are still in the mid 80's with everyone wondering if/when Fall is going to show up!

Hey - sunny and 85 today here in Rancho Santa Margarita CA. Thats the OC to most people... Love this time of year in southern california and put on 25 topless miles yesterday. Unfortunately I have meetings up in Los Angeles all day so the economical Honda Civic GX is going to get out today. If I could just figure out how to get carpool access stickers on the jag....

Hey I hear you. I am north of you in Encino and just when it seems fall is here (temps below 70) it rockets up into the 90s again. I prefer more fall-like weather, especially during this time of the year.

We actually had a touch of winter a few weeks back with a couple of snowstorms. I got caught in one and discovered that summer high performance tires aren't as bad in snow as I expected...but still not something I would enjoy driving. My oldest brother lives in West Palm Beach, FL so he already rubs the nice weather in. I keep telling him he should buy a nice drop top XK8 to replace his Buick, but he won't bite. Now with another baby on the way it seems less likely.

82* and sunny around the Monterey Bay. I don't know how you guys in MN survive those long winters.

Sorry to hear about the leaking 'ram', I was fortunate enough to have it caught during my top failing to open (and under warranty). Mine was leaking so much a reduction in pressure wasn't going to make my top go up anytime soon w/ a replacement.

As for the weather, days are low 70s here, making it perfect to take a lunch w/ the top down. I even got to ride around downtown Ft Worth in my Star Trek uniform with the top down...and got plenty of 'Hey, Capt Kirk' comments and a couple compliments from the ladies on a nice car. Kirk sure has a way with women.
