Default Key Fob batteries

Hi.
Taken from another forum:

"There are a number of different remote fobs. On the earlier cars, they used a LJA2610BA which uses two 2016 batteries giving a total of 6v. There is an updated version that works instead of the BA version, this LJA2610BB uses one 2032 battery, only 3v so be careful when replacing batteries. I have found that if these batteries drop to 2.9v the fob won't work, so make sure that they are a healthy 3 to 3.2 volts.

In later cars 2002 onwards the fob was an LJE2610BB fob which is not compatible with the LJA types, it also uses a single 2032 battery. There may be an LJE2610BA but I have not personally seen one yet. I imagine it will have two 2016 batts.

Also on my car when programming the fobs, there is no chirp and the LED next to the gear stick can only be seen in low lighting conditions, in sunlight it's invisible so be careful."

This might explain some of the problems with key fob's.
It's also two different frequencies for different markeds.
