I think you would have to have quite a bit of expert knowledge, and the right equipment, to be able to spoof the security system and there are easier ways to get round it given that you have a working key already, such as getting a locksmith to clone a key for you.

If all else fails glue the transponder from your working key next to the ignition switch, then any key that physically matches (or even one that doesn't, if you apply enough force) will start it BTW, that was a joke. Don't do that.

 

Not so much of a joke here in the Great White North where aftermarket remote start systems are commonly installed with a "spare key" taped to the remote start unit. 🤪
