The lady all dolled up
Howdy Folks:
Using some retro inspiration from the XK120, came up with this evening attire for the lady. The skirts, (I have not seen any that will fit my XKR) represent an evening dress, and the portawalls as a pearl necklace.
Any thoughts?
(I know that photoshop will do a better job than my paint program, but it is all I had)

Dear Dr. D.
I must say no. Absolutely no disrespect of course but being in the car buisness on & off for 35 years I am honestly stating that fender skirts are for a very select few old men and custom rods.
A very wise piece of advice was given to me by a gentleman in the used car buisness in the 1970's which is still true today. Take a nice sedan and outfit it with a very nice set of wheels which sets off the cars' lines and it will sell at a premium, and quickly. Numerous times we proved this true and one that always jumps to mind is a '70 Olds Royal 2dr, red with a 1/2 vinyl white roof and white buckets which languished on the lot until we threw a set of wide whites and wire wheel discs on. She jumped off the lot the next day & was (esp for a 70's NA vehicle) a great car.
Remember people always say ... " WHAT A GREAT SET OF WHEELS " .. when they see a nice car. It's true, they look a LOT at the wheels.
Cheers
