I just replaced my latch cylinder and was expecting a green fluid as I have a nota that says the fluid was replace less than a year ago (before I purchased). Instead I have an amber coloured fluid.


The reservoir show a little below the minimum line.


I have ordered a pressure relief valve but that won’t come for a few week and next week I am off to the South of France.
I have Titan CHF 11S but I think it’s not a good idea to mix fluids?
Will I be OK with a slightly low level for a few weeks?
When I get the valve I can flush the system

 

I agree that it is not a good idea to mix these fluids. The proper Pentosin fluid is indeed colored green....

 

The reservoir fluid was changed BUT...........

Somebody did NOT remove the lines from the latch cylinder and bleed the fluid through.

 

So this looks like a mix?

 

I would assume it is mixed. I would evacuate the lines completely and start fresh with the green Pentosin fluid....

 

UNIVIS is yellow and correct Pentosin is green.
