I have a 1998 XK8, my issue is that the car drives lazy. When I step on the accelerator the car does not want to move, I find myself having to step hard or stomp on the pedal to get any response. I don't get the response speed that I should get from a V8 sport car. Can anyone shed some light or have any ideas as to what the problem could be.

 

The problem is most likely slack in the throttle cable. Check out this thread for adjustment. It worked for my 97 xk8.
