sossybaby,and you also, Mark

Hey Baby! Thank you so much for the Movie! I will contact Auto Reserve concerning the Part, unless they have one here in Houston...Appears to be another upside down JOB! So I doubt I'll be able to do it....Hope I can find someone here that's abit more mobile than I.

I appreciate the help!

Hello boss, hope this helps. I replaced the reach cable in mine a few years ago. I also could hear the motor running but no movement of the steering wheel. Look up Colquan1066 excellent write up on the reach and tilt cables, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...repair-185672/. The part # JLM12187C is for the Drive Cable - Reach Motor. I'll warn you though that it was a PITA job, lying on my back under the dash with just barely enough room to move. I had to get out of the car to change my mind.

The steering wheel on my 2003 acts up occasionally. Probably not a scientific fix but I give a firm pull and push on the steering wheel and that (so far) has "re-educated" it.

I did this about 7 years ago on my xkr. What I didn't like about green is that it made everything to green. I preferred the contrast using the white bulbs. There are also different white bulbs that actually change the way the green/blue contrast against one another..
I was never 100% satisfied and found the amount of work to get the entire center console LED was beyond what I was willing to do. I left my other xkr alone. Now LED technology has gotten a bit better. I may go at it again and try an assortment of bulbs. I just find it important for everything to look like it goes together and I personally just couldnt get it to happen before.

FYI, I found the blue LEDs to be too garish for my center console, so I got white instead, and transferred the blue rubber covers from the old bulbs I was replacing. Looks much better to me.

Blue rubber covers? I didn't have any blue rubber covers.
