The original halogen headlights couldn’t hardly show me 25 feet in front of the bumper. Got some Hikari H-1 LED. Wow! Here are a couple pics with only one replaced.
In other words, you have replaced your Stock Halogen Low Beams with a Hikari LED Kit....rather than using a HID Kit like most XK8-XKR's came with.. Now, you need to replace your Halogen High Beams with another LED Kit and you will have the Night under control. For an example, I have attached a photo of my Lights on Bright! They are (Low Beam) HID and (Hight Beam) LED...You want to make sure the Kit you buy has a short stalk, because your High Beam Headlight has a Reflector background and the Light source on the stalk must be as close to the Reflector's base as possible. If not, the Light will scatter all over the place! This will make your High Beams ineffective....as for as Lighting the Road at a distance...By having the short Stalk LED, it places the Light source back toward the rear of the Light, at about the same place as the Halogen Bulb emits it's Light and helps the Reflector direct the Light forward...Honestly, it makes a lot of difference....

I want to upgrade to LED high beams. Any suggestions as to what LED bulb to buy?
There are several of these LED/HID Internet stores out there but the one I've used most is in England, called PowerBulbs.com. They have bunch of lights for the Jaguar XKR-XK8! Go to: www.powerbulbs.com and look for HB3 (9005) High Beam and search for: M-Tech Platinum LED Headlights HB30.(Twin)….They cost 89.99 lbs. or $117.31 US...They have 5700K White Light, which is about 200% Brighter than a Halogen Bulb & No Canbus adapter is required. They are 40 watt and 5000 Lumens...Not the World's Brightest but you can work with the length of the stalk to make the Diodes match the Light source of the Halogen Bulb...This will work to adjust the 2 Light Diodes so that they are in about the same position as the Halogen Bulb's Light source was. Measure it and that will make the Reflector work properly...+ If your measurements are off, the Light will scatter...it will work but not the way it should...It's just a matter of adjusting the Bulb Back & Forth...I used metal washers and drilled them out to size.....
