Default looking for a parts list - front sus rebuild

Hi,

With high hopes that I do not need to replace the ball joints on my 2005 xk8, is there a single list of the parts shown somewhere that lists all I will need (and maybe links or part numbers) to obtain In order to rebuild my front end? My car has 132K on it and it is not as tight as I would like.

Upper mounts

Shocks

Upper ca bushings

T rod ends outer, inner(?)

Sway bar bushings

Sway bar links (?)

Suspension mounts (?)

I recall that there are some soft parts not always mentioned…like bump stops or spring pads????

I appreciate any and all help.

Thank you

wj

Literally in the middle of this right now, but mine is a 97. I'm not sure if the parts are the same between the two. However, a combination of looking at the assemblies on SNG Barratt / Jaguar Classic and RockAuto/Partsgeek will give you a mostly complete picture.

But don't take my word on that yet...still waiting on parts to arrive, so I haven't yet done the job, so I haven't had a chance to see if this method works.

wj,
You can either download JEPC from this link in androulakis' post:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...52/#post289122

or get a copy of SNG Barratt's catalogue. Both will give you all the information you need, albeit it's not in a single list

Must be suspension season...

I should add/revise.

1. I meant rockauto rather than partsgeek.
2. The SNG Barratt assembly diagram won't show ball joints as a replaceable part. But they are, if you want to do that. Look on RockAuto for that, and then you can crossref the part numbers externally, if you'd like.

Thanks. I should have read the thread more carefully.

@wj, just in case you do need them, the upper ball joint is JLM21380 and the lower MNC1350AA

According to RockAuto, there are MOOG and ACdelco ball joints that will fit, too. Although the price differential isn't much. I would stay away from the URO ones though.

For upper mounts, get the Poly ones from Welsh. (JagsJagsJags on Ebay)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK8-...ty!76092!US!-1

$150/pair shipped. Cheaper than their catalog price.
