Default Lube your strikers!

Took the car back today to the dealer to get the steering put back together correctly, apparently they 'missed' a tooth (or 2, or 3) when reinstalling it, and even aligned it for me when I mentioned it was pulling. All at no charge.

Then I proceeded to ask my service guy about how the driver door kinda rattles, and my window isn't sealing the best with the rear 1/4 window. He told me he would condition the molding, as it appeared to go up almost all of the way properly aligned, then dove toward the front the last inch...ending up barely overlapping the sealing mold on the 1/4 window. Anyway, he tells me about the internals and how I can fix it if I want to go into the door...he quietly recommends someone else remove the panel and such, as they charge hourly for this, and it can get quite expensive for such a medial task. Mental note taken.

Anyway, I ask him to look at my striker on the door, and inquire if this thing is what is causing my door to shake some on the road...like it's not quite closed. He tells me it is very possible. He likes to lube the striker to delay this as much as possible. I have a new one on order. Hope it helps.

Glad they were helpful witht he corrections!

I had a similar issue with a striker and can't remember how I fixed it. I think I cut the soft material off and added a replacement, but I just can't remember what I did.

Default Bonnet, too

The latching units on my bonnet were misaligned and causing problems - while you're at it, look at them and adjust and lubricate as well.
