Went to purchase 21 mm socket for lug nuts and discovered they are actually 22 mm

they have a decorative cap on them. The caps are slightly loose but the lug nuts aren’t. Are these Jaguar OEM or aftermarket

 

Probably OEM. That's what mine have always been, and he same for several cars I worked on.

I have the same lug nuts here. So I would think they are OEM lug nuts. I'm thinking of replacing these as the loose cap, I suspect, will eventually work loose from the threads. Fellow Forum member Rothwell has looked at many different solid lug nuts for his newly refurbished rims. If you're going down this route, I would check his threads on this forum. He's done some lovely under-stated upgrades to his car to make it more user friendly.

 

Yeah those are the horrible OEM lugs. I have always replaced them with solid ones ever since I had one of the outer covers start spinning on the lug inside. Happened on my first Jaguar S-Type about 15 years ago. Plus the outer caps being loose fitting would create a chatter that I could hear at low speeds, particularly in parking garages.
