Need to replace map lights on my XK8 2005, an afraid to break it. Can someone explain me how to do it. Thanks

Map Light?? Are you referring to the overhead console reading lights?

Do you have the Coupe or the convertible?

Replacing these overhead light bulbs is relatively straight forward as the console is held up by 3 push fit clips that pry off. Then it’s easy to see the fuse type light bulbs that may need replacing. I attach a couple of pictures of the unit.

Pull gently, and straight down. The plastic bracket to which the clips are held on to is very brittle. There's three clips, and the clips themselves are made out of some metal.
