Default Message center LCD problem... Help, please

Hi,
I am experiencing a message center LCD problem. The display is barely readable and it's really dim/dark.
It's not completely dead cuz it shows all the information... just very hard to read. Initially, I thought it's the bulb so I swapped with the high beam bulb, but no change.
The battery is in great shape with a voltage of around 12.5V.

If this is the LCD panel problem, can I replace it.... or do I need to replace the entire instrument cluster?
Thanks in advance.

Quick update...
This is what I did:
1. Battery hard reset
2. Clean the red cable at the bottom of cluster
Honestly, I am not sure what was the remedy but the message center is now back in business.
I will keep you updated, after I finish the Real Gage installation.

I successfully installed the RealGage and now the coolant gage shows real time temperatures.
Also, the message center operates normally. My guess is the battery hard reset did a trick to fix the problem.
I will keep you updated.
