Hi i'm new here and have only had my Jaguar for a month. I love it, but there's one really annoying thing it does.

Every time i turn the power on it makes 11 really loud beeps that come from the rear.

After some investigating i found that the beeps are coming underneath the rear seat centre partition. The component responsible is shown in the picture below.

I'm tempted to just remove the component or insulate it!

For anyone else with the same car, is this a normal sound? Thanks for your help in advance!

 

That's the backup sensor sounder, not sure why it's beeping on startup.

 

Is your rear end almost on the garage door???

Hey Wayne, the sensor beeps regardless of if im near any objects.

Interestingly, the parking sensor beeps are still coming from the car speakers not from this component.

The guy i purchased it off said this was a normal sound on startup, its obviously not! lol

For the time being ive just taped over the speaker hole to reduce the intensity, as the beeps are VERY loud when you startup
