Have you looked into a (reversible) film-type process (plasti-dip, etc.)? This way you can always go back to stock. My understanding is that powder coating sounds great and durable, but is next to impossible to spot fix (kind of like chrome) if something happens. Just my thoughts...

Sorry, but that massive spoiler really ruins the lines and it certainly is not necessary on these GT cars. Be careful not to drastically lower the resale value of your car....

There is no problem with resale value,
nobody will buy it.

But it is all a matter of (bad) taste

Well, the spoiler is from a 2018 Camaro that I got off a salvage camaro in the junkyard..
It looked really cool like a boomerang, so i bought it.. I think it looks nice on the Jag.. Takes getting used to I guess, it's growing on me..

These jags are super cheap here anyways, I got mine for just $6900. I can't imagine it falling to anything lower than that maybe a couple grand here and there..

The guy that did my rims in black recommended paint over powder coating for the chipping reasons others have mentioned. I went with his advice and they've been fine in paint for two years so far.

First, I do appreciate the effort your are putting into it.

Sorry but I can't say anything nice about those "mods". The smooth lines of that coupe are now interupted by something that looks like it fell off of a transformer robot.

Most of us here are pretty understanding about people wanting to add their own personal touches to their car. However there is line that shouldn't be crossed, much less **** on.

But hey it could have been worse.

So as long as you like it, go for it. Just don't ask me to ride in it.

It's your car and as long as you like it that's really all that matters. However when you post on an open fourm you're inviting comments. IMHO you're turning a classic GT car into a boy racer. Just not for me....

Before you spend time and money on cosmetic 'mods', make sure the vehicle is in sound mechanical condition.

The AJ27 must have primary and secondary timing chains, guides and tensioners uprated to the latest versions to avoid catastrophic engine failure. Have they been replaced on this vehicle?

About the only thing I don't like is the wing. These cars, they're all about curvy sexy design harking back to the E-type. You've fitted a chiseled, angular wing. It clashes. If you're going to add a wing, it should complement the design of the car, not oppose it. A lip spoiler, or a lip like duck tail might be more appropriate, however, I think that is one part where these cars don't need visual aids. Besides, it robs you of rear visibility when driving.

Just my 2¢.

'Before' pic. works best for me; lowering OK if it's your bag. Dark wheels work best on light body colours, IMO.
Your baby, so whatever works for you. De gustibus non disputandum est.

Aaargh. I'd almost forgotten that one. Hope those wheels have had the tyres removed and been returned to the steam engine they came from. Stuff of nightmares...

Default Good Luck, its your car...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

My only comment would be the black wheels, I hope you painted them and no powder coating. If anyone has had any luck on removing power coating on wheels I would sure like to hear it.

My standard response is-It is your car. Do what you like with it. Ignore negative responses and enjoy your free expression. It is your passion, not joint art class. That is what the private part of private property is all about.
Where is John Galt?

negative responses don't really bother me. I respect everyone's opinions and I'm actually going to plastidip my wheels instead of powder coating them thanks to the comments above. 🙂

I am John Galt.
