My new to me XK8 in Florida I've had blue wrapped, blue trim and stereo swap.
I have been a member on here for 10 years I joined when I bought my XKR that I had painted Ferrari Giallo yellow. I sold the car a few years ago in the UK and spend a lot of my time in Florida.
I bought a nice 1997 80k miles purple convertible 3 months ago. There was no rust but it had some front bumper repairs and paintwork that let the rest of the car down. So I decided to have it wrapped in a satin blue. I then bought a stage 2 exhaust from Adamesh that's worth every penny for the sound it makes it honestly has transformed the car. I got a front mesh grill off Amazon believe it or not. Oh as for the TAG my grandson is called Lionel 👶
I then wanted to spruce the interior up a bit and found a local guy works out of his garage to put some blue marine vinyl in the car. I took the back seats out the door cards and the centre console. He charged me $600 and his quality of work is as good as I've ever had before I was very pleasantly surprised at the price! I bought a set of mats off a guy on Facebook who supplies so many high class cars on there, $180 with only 10 days delivery after placing the order from Europe to USA. Obviously my changes won't be everybody's cup of tea but I love it, for me a convertible Jag that's now over 25 years old might as well be a bit in your face! Quite amazed at the approval from passers by when am parked up.
The owner before me had a Bluetooth stereo fitted and the speakers upgraded but still using the original Jaguar amp. I fitted my Garmin GPS above it as I am from the UK and I am lost without it. I then swapped the Pioneer head unit for a Chinese one that has rear camera facility, Bluetooth etc but the main reason I got it was the Android Auto is wireless as is Apple Carplay. Most stereos at this price need an adapter to get Android Auto wireless. The screen is 5inch that fits in a single din aperture it lights up the exact blue the dials do. The previous owner had Sirius XM so I kept that via the phono inputs.
I bought some leather paint for the steering wheel so I painted the GPS antenna I fitted in the middle base of the screen. I bought a Tag surround with camera and audible sensors and I ended up taking the airbag off to dismantle the audio remote controls and fitted a universal Bluetooth one that has 10 buttons that can be assigned. If I use the Garmin which I prefer to using my phone the voice instruction comes out of the speakers as it aslo connects to the head unit via Bluetooth.
I have put LED bulbs in the dials it makes a big difference and worth the fiddling about. Lastly I fitted my garage door opener inside the front interior light pod by taking out the old Jaguar transformer and replacing it with the chipset from my remote opener. I fixed it so the 1st Jag button on the light pod presses down on my garage remote button.

Not to my taste and I don't think I'd get away with that where I hang out in Liverpool but all power to you!
Is the Chinese head unit reasonably responsive? I put one in my XJ8 and the features were great and worked well but it was really sluggish.
Is that a Lancia Beta Monte Carlo in your line-up and do you still have it?
