My wife's got her first green shower :D "It's ****ing ghostbusters!"
Sooo my wife got drizzled with green ooze the other night from the latch area - filling up the interior overhead lights (or whatever they're called). The rear quarter windows are stuck in down position and won't go up again. Fck. The top did not open at all. Phew.
Is there anything she can do to lower the rear quarter windows? I won't be able to get to the car until Monday, although she sent me this nice video (last time she sent me a video it was of a mini horse and sheep at a Craigslist auto body "shop" in Sonoma. Will post it upon request..).
Also, what diagnostic steps should I take to figure out whether I need hose replacements or e.g. a latch rebuild? I'm in Oakland, CA, btw.

Sounds like your wife was not amused.
You meant raise the rear windows, right? She could try one quick stab on the roof switch in the up direction, but that's going to burp out more fluid. Other than that, I don't know any tricks she can do herself. (I'm guessing she would not want to start messing with hex keys and the like).
You should be able to tell if the source is the latch or the hoses by inspection, the hoses being far more likely.
You could use the manual latch mod temporarily to have a working top until you get to the repair. See link in my signature line below.
Good luck.

Geez that leak really announced itself big time. When I first bought my 2005 in 2008 the leak showed itself after 3 months of ownership in the form of one or two green drops I noticed on the console. I suspect there may have been some warning signs in your wife's car that the torrent was coming. Your wife actually sounds calm compared with my wife who rants about everything that is the least bit off with my car. The clunk I have had for a while now is her favorite thing to complain about but recently the gap between the passenger side main window and quarter window has gotten more noticeable and that gives her another thing to complain about.
Ahh women--you can't live with them and you can't live with them.

I would say she was not at all amused but I do not know of anyone that is when the shower begins. You already have good advice on getting the windows closed the next step is to getting it cleaned up and fixed.
The windows will not operate until the front hood latch is closed. If you have the allen wrench you can close the roof latch then push the roof close button and the windows should close. If they do not close it means that the rams are not fully extended. If she has the owners manual in the car I think it covers the emergency closing of the roof. I hope this helps.
Also the allen wrench is located in the trunk at the pump.

I would suggest not operating the roof until you get the hoses replaced. It is just a matter of time before it fails. I have a lot of good information on my page that can help with the repair and or replacement.
