Default Need Hydralic Diagram for 2001 XK8 Convertible RESOLVED

Soooooo, long story short disconnected all the hoses to the Hyd. Pump and didn't mark the locations clearly . So does anyone know where the hoses go? What to Where? Yes this is my first post. I tried searching this sight, the net, PMed some experts, the JTIS and even tried the Jaguar Service Section(still waiting for the reply). Thanks...

Welcome to the forum Domingo,

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...hydraulic+hose and check through that thread for posts from Gus.

Follow the link beneath his Signature to his website where you'll find hydraulic hose replacement procedure with pics.

When you have a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST section and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all the members to see. When you do that, you'll get some good advice on how to find your way around here.

Looking for a person who replaced the lift hoses. He needs to know what fitting from the pump (top / bottom) go to what position (top / Bottom) of the lift. I do not have this information yet.

Hey Thanks randyb and Gus just to clarify the longer hoses go on the bottom t-fitting? Or, the bottom fittings on the hyd lift cylinders connect to the Top t-fitting on the pump via hose.

Default Diagram

Ok, The bottom hoses on the cylinders/lifts go on the Top t-fitting, and the top hoses on the cylinders/lifts go on the bottom.

Unable to speak for the lifts but the top latch is correct. Did your lift hose arrangement work on your car?

Hey Gus, Yeah it works now. I made a little diagram well more of a sketch and attached it to one of my posts. I had the lines wrong at first but fixed it. End of story: The lift cylinders bottom lines go on the top t-fitting on the pump. I did install the pressure reduction valve as well and now I just have to install the automatic remote control for the convertible top. :-)
