Default need sunvisor fix

Had car detailed last Friday and they managed to pull the screws out on the drivers side bracket and they will not go back in, so does anybody know of a way to fix this little mishap?

The bracket is fine, screws will not bite into anything in the header.

randyb,
Try slightly larger self tapping screws unless the screws that came out were threaded in which case you may need some new inserts.

There should be a square hole with a plastic insert. take a flash light look up inside. If the inserts gone you'll need to replace it. Be careful the wire to the mirror is up there and some people including myself has pinched it and blown a fuse. This fuse also is tied in with a sensor or switch on the J gate and will not let you shift the transmission.
Did you ever get your top situation taken care of? Good Luck!

The Bracket with the two holes on the visor itself or the Sunvisor Support Clip (item 2)?

The screws for the Bracket with the two holes are secured in Spring Nuts (item 4).

The Support Clip is a push fit into a plastic clip.

Whichever it is, the appropriate clip could be just dislodged or may be broken. Easiest way has to be to replace the securing clip.

Well, it has not opened on it's own again, but then I do not take the interstate anymore either, I take the long way to and from work.

BTW: Talked to a jag tech and he has heard of another car doing the exact same thing, they think either I had a power surge or more likely I had so many options turned on at once, that maybe it triggered the windows to go down and top latch to open for just a second. Car is going in next week, to see if I might have some kind of parasitic drain in the car.
