Thanks! And Yep, I read the whole thing and I still wanted my leaper after I read it.
First thing I told hubby after he surprised me with the kitty was: I want one of those *pointing at leaper* on mine! Hee-hee!
XK8 are so pretty I think they look good with and without them.

I think it looks great with leaper and no badge. Some of the early XK8 had a growler badge on the rear trunk lid.

Haven't re-painted the rocker panel yet... (my Dad painted it black when painting the entire car)... but here's some new pics we took recently.

Beautiful car. Really nice color.

And pretty gutsy leading off with the leaper picture.

Hey. I know you don't want to hurt dads feelings with the rocker panels so here's a really good way to fix it.
They're really easy to install and you could have him paint them and never have to let him know you do really like the black! They also really update the car!! (From the last facelift model) We used automotive double stick tape to attach and put a couple screws in each fender well. Ad they can be painted off the car!! If you call Chris at Mina Gallery, he usually gives better deals for members!!

Dad painting Rocker Panel in our garage a few weeks ago. It was a cold Florida day so we had to paint (I helped some) with the door closed. Sherwin Williams put some of the original left over paint in an aerosol can for us and VOILA! now Kitty is all one color. Will have to take a few new car pics soon.

You have a great Dad there. Do loan him out? My front end could use some touch up.

Rocker panel looks good from what I can see. Post more pics when you can.

Tommy finally got the growler emblem on the front of the car. I think we are done for a while. Now it's time to get out there and drive it!
