Had a new Alpine system with Bazooka subs installed in the XKR this week. Picked it up on Saturday and after the euphoria of the new system wore of a bit I realized that the power door locks and power mirrors don't work. Key FOB will make the locking chirp when you try it but, nothing actuates. I replaced the #2 and #4 fuses in the passenger side interior fuse box with no results. Hopefully the techs that worked on it will have a clue what they did but, if anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated before I call them.

First make sure both door are completely shut. Then disconnect the battery negative terminal for 10 seconds and reconnect it. Then try the locks again. Try this a few times if necessary.

 

Any chance they turned the "Memory Function" off on the steering column? Have you checked the rotary switch just below the turn signal stalk to see i it is in auto or lock mode?

 

Thanks to both of you for the reply. The reboot via the battery disconnect did the trick. White, you saved me an hour trip one way to the audio store. Not that I would have minded the excuse to drive the car but, it's 37 degrees with snow in the forcast.

 

Steve beat me to it. Same thing happened to me after some audio enhancements...except my interior light wouldn't go off, and my alarm refused to arm...just multi-chirpped at me.
