Gents:

I'm finding a few issues with my new XK8. Let me know if you have any insight on these:
  1. Trip computer won't clear, switch A/B, or reset
  2. Cruise control doesn't work
  3. Power antenna won't go down (it goes up)
  4. Seat/wheel auto positioner doesn't retract (it does go into the preset upon entry)
  5. Engine failsafe mode comes on, but clears after restart, and it runs fine while it's on

to clear the trip computer, press and hold the 000 button to the right of the Clear button


Cruise control may be a faulty brake switch or the cruise switch itself

Try a "hard reset" at the battery and check your battery to make sure it is not failing.

I forget i s that taking the positive cable and touching to the negative post or vice-versa?

Remove negative and touch to positive for 10-15 seconds.
