My name is Brian Turner and I live in Grafton, Ohio. I am looking at buying a 2000 XK8 with 82000 miles. The car has the V8. It lived its life in Florida with two owners. I did a CARFAX on it and it looks like it had typical Jaguar issues, brake light switch, oil pan gasket replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, radiator replaced, a/c compressor replaced. I will only drive it in the summer as a fun car, daily driver. I’ve always heard that Jaguars have their problems so I hope I’m making the right decision here. I have always wanted a Jaguar. Thanks for meme troll here and I will let you know if and when I take possession of it.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

very nice!!! Front end looks a little low - check the upper shock mounts for signs of disintegration and if they are bad, reach out to @cjd777 or @baxtor as they have developed a very robust and cost effective replacement. It is a fairly simple diy - have done the job many times on my 2000 XK8 until I switched to their solution
They were replace in 2023 with about 94,000 miles. It now has 103,000.
One would assume that information precludes the need to replace them but I' sorry to tell you. It doesn't. Check them out and make an informed decision.

good, but your front end does look low! Maybe your rear end is a bit too high, something is off a little bit. BTW this subject will get better response in the xk100 forum.
Brian, you can get a bit more information as to the condition of things by taking a few measurements.
Each measurement is taken from the center of the wheel, right in the middle of the emblem to the curve at the top of the fender ARCH. The stock measurement runs from 15-7/8 to 15 -1/8 on front and back, higher might be a sign of new springs and shocks for a short period of time.
If down below 15, mounts will help but an indication your springs are getting weak.
Nice car, have fun with it.
With any luck at all, what you have on there will get you into the winter months when you indicate you will put the car up.
At that time, take some measurements and give me a shout and let's see what you have and which direction you need to go.
