NGK Iridium spark plugs

NGK Iridium are very good plugs, they are the next step up from double platinum and considered top-tier. $6.44 USD/ea. @ RockAuto.com . Don't waste your money on any plug with multiple electrodes, they just shroud the spark.
Sorry, but when I used to work next to a state emission inspection station (and saw just about everything that wouldn't pass the test) I yanked and pitched more Bosch plugs than any other brand. Local A-zones used to push them like the next coming. Personally, I'd stick with NGK or Denso.

Last weekend I put in a set of NGK iridium plugs in mine replacing the Bosch platinum plugs. immediately noticed a smoother idle and quicker response. Worth it for me but I only paid $7.50 CAN each. My wife and I are planning a trip to the UK in 2015 should I plan on packing a bag of parts for you guys?

Be aware that you never, ever use a plug gapping tool or feeler gauges to check the gap of an iridium or platinum spark plug! The precious metals are extremely thin and dragging any gauge through the electrodes will scuff and/or remove at least a portion of the coating. That would relegate the plug to base plug status. The plugs are application specific and don't require checking. Just eyeball the gaps and if you find any that look different than the majority return it for another plug.

I just replaced a set of NGK iridium plugs with same kind from local Jag dealer (they were same price as on line) in my 03 XK8 at 93K miles. I have been trying to track down a ping and a rattle. They did not show any appreciable wear and had ideal color. Performance did pick up and idle smoothed out. Not the answer to the ping but seem to be good plugs.
After that, still trying to eliminate ping occurring on light acceleration, I did treat the beast to a 50/50 mix of premium and 100 octane racing fuel. Lot's of get up and go and great mileage boost - not to be mistaken for an economy move but still fun.

Just pulled the work sheet from the dealer. Fitted the following plugs: C2A 1535
to my 2001 XKR 4.0L at 68,000 miles. Only done 73,000 so no need to change. Looking on the web these plugs are Iridium Spark Plug - C2A1535 - Genuine Jaguar at www.rimmerbros.co.uk.
They had previously fitted AJ8 4575 plugs at 43,000 (so a 30K interval) - these also show up as Iridium so I am guessing likely same plugs with updated part numbers
I presume no great difference with NGK or Denso. Likely made by them anyway and rebadged.
