Hi all,
Now that I have your attention......I have noticed on my 2001 XKR Bembro brakes callipers a couple of rubber bleed nipple covers are missing.
Does anyone known of a Jag part number for them? My local Jag dealer (read "Subaru" dealer) looks at me with that deer in the headlights look when I asked them to order them.

Thanks,
Karl

This will probably be one of those threads where you get a thousand views and about three responses.

Do a Google search for "brake bleeder dust cap"

Seems there are several styles that may work. Find a kind you like and buy a handful. MC

You might want to have a rethink on keeping to the original here:

JLM 21319 - brake bleeder kit

This is one Brembo bleed screw plus the black cap with the retaining loop. It's in the $20 range.

The cap isn't listed separately.

Here you are.... look about 1/2 way down in their products. OEM replacements for $1.80 each.

The pattern on the left is the style of the ones Jaguar use on the Brembo.

I know bleed screws come a various sizes of thread and length but the caps must be a universal fit?

For the most part... I would bet they are. I expect all brake companies buy this kind of small part from another distributor that makes the componant parts. It is only a rubber cover, and I would bet they are pretty universal fit. These look exactly like others I saw for other manufacturers in my generic Google search too. Sometimes we get too caught up in the minutia. My .02.

Graham--

I used to have a friend that owned a company in Florida (think it was ETCO). Stood for Electric Terminal Company. His company made the little metal electric bits that go inside spark plug wires. His company sold to all of the major manufacturers... Just an example. MC

Thanks for the replies guys.
Looks like we have “firm grip” on the subject. I feel like a bit of a “boob” for not checking other suppliers on line. I guess Google can be used for more than just ****...who knew!

Cheers
