Default p 1642.........Resolved

Turns out, I remenbered the Ultra Guage was unplugged and then plugged in again by the guy at Motor Vehicle, during the inspection. ( while the car was running). I had forgotten about that, as the car didn't start flashing all sorts of electrical warnings, until the next day. All glitches have gone away since I removed the gauge, and cleared the p1642 code. Not sure I want to use the Ultra Guage again? But anyway, thanks for listening!,,

I never have a problem with either of my cars, can plugin while running. Have you selected 'Force protocol 9141'?

Hi, RJ..........When I plug it in, the gauge will scan and discover '9141',, but this is the 2nd time, it has caused glitches, and I'm a little hesitant, until I start being concerned about not knowing the water temperature, and then I'll plug the guage in again

That's your problem mick, you have to force the 9141 protocol. Scroll down the menu and you will find the protocol selections.
