Default Parts Hunt

I am looking for a part for the air cleaner box. Seems that I broke the Center Mount rubber/plastic support for the lower air box on the XK8 20003. I think the part number is EAC008130 according to the part diagram I have. I saw it on one site for about 75 bucks. So I am looking to see if that is indeed the cost. If it is I will be looking to see if there is one on the used market. Any one able to help, greatly appreciated.

Try Googling EAC8130, you'll get a few more hits.

Ebay listing: 2 New Aftermarket Jaguar XJS XJ6 Air Cleaner Mount EAC6806 or EAC8130 | eBay

Yes, that part works perfect for the fender mount...screws ferect into the fender nut and is the exact size required.

I have sence installed a K & N high flow setup that replaces the air box all together. I hate to See good parts go to waste so let me know if you need just the mount shown or the whole air box.. I'll drop the mount in the mail to ya for free or if you need the whole air box, pay the postage from Hawaii and it's yours.

Check the motor mount, that's what caused the failure on my 99 XK8. Have someone rev the engine and watch for excessive engine movement.

There was quite a discussion on here a couple of years ago about switching out the air box and not having a good cool air intake. If I remember somebody on the forum had performance problems because the air filter was breathing warm heated air. I believe that's one of the reasons they would cut a larger hole in the wheel well and have the breather outside of the engine compartment and have the air filter enclosed.

Possibly however I have the Mina high flow kit, Jaguar XK8 & XKR Performance Intake Kit 2003-2006 models - Mina Gallery Inc

Has a metal shield which helps to seal off the engine heat. I have a ScanGauge connected monitoring real time data and my air intake temp always stays near ambient temp.
