tried to use above VIN 00002693 and 3 shops said it failed to appear in their database, too old
so much for that

So I think we "know"
1) some do, some don't
2) old databases may not display these cars and may not be granular enough
3) only way to know is to move switch
a) if it goes up down, then you got it
b) if it does not, then gotta take out seat and see if there is a motor for up down and / or if something is busted
