Was browsing net to get some ideas for engine bay detailing and found rare picture of XK8 abs pump with plastic cover part nr NJA3984AC.

Does fellow XK owners have this cover in place as it seems pretty rare on engine bay pictures?

 

Others may know better but I think it was fitted "as standard" to early cars - my 1997 has one - but - probably to save a miniscule amount of money was discontinued at some point - not sure when.
If the ABS module mounting bracket has three holes then I assume you could "retrofit" if you wanted to.

 

I have one on my '97 as well.

Old thread but found ABS Pump cover. Of course there is no suitable fittings in my car for it. Looks like push to fit type of fittings in picture.
If somebody w/original cover can pull it off and take couple of pictures about body fittings, much appreciated!


Upper fitting seems to be attached to pump.

Picture about two lower fittings I have not found.

The red one you have found, the two yellow ones are on a bracket that attaches with a single bolt below the ABS unit.

For some reason, the image refuses to rotate 180°
