The pollen filter is perfectly postioned to get soaked and smelly. Jaguar moved them into the engine compartment on the next model to get round this issue.

If CT has a wet climate, then the filter is best avoided.

It looks like way too much trouble, maybe that's why they didn't put them in?
Why would you need a filter on a convertible?

when you are driving through a dust storm or the more hygienic areas of New Jersey right as the climate control decides to switch off recirculate because the user cannot possibly be trusted to know when he does and does not want outside air. if it is the last thing that i do, will figure out how to defeat this functionality.

On the S Type if you press and hold the recirc button it will beep (or maybe double beep)
then doesn't change with auto operation.
Does that work on the X100s?

thank you, that technique does work on the xk8, however on full auto it is defeated once you reach the temperature setting. additionally, it resets after you turn off the ignition so that you can get a nice intake of unburned hydrocarbons when the blower starts.

i am planning on adding a remote start so keeping this setting matters.
