POS
It's the second Ford I've owned. I'll never own another. Electrical piece of junk. I've posted my problem here for over a year and I've done everything that was suggested. New battery, check all negative connections. Everything in the charging checks out fine. Think I'll let it rot into the ground where it belongs.

Have you tried to squeeze the battery cable crimps in a vise or replaced the cables? Have you tightened the battery connections at the two megafuses in the rear of the the trunk? Have you tightened the battery connections at each fusebox?
These are all known problem areas for the symptoms you previously posted about.

Retreat and regroup: put her aside for a while if you can.
These things can drive you to despair. Different car totally I know and somewhat off topic, but I spent two years on and off trying to track down an infuriating 'cut-out when hot and won't restart' on my MGB. Carbs, plugs, points, coil, condenser, yada yada... There were times when I could cheerfully have set it on fire
Finally tracked it down to the earthing braid in the distributor. I still don't know why but it's never reoccurred.
Anyways, my point is, there's always a solution. Don't let it beat you!

I take it you'd done the last things with switching on/off locks Gus suggested in your recent post, you hadn't responded with results.
Good Battery, Fuses ok, grounds checked and ok, battery cables and terminals all checked and ok and tight. So that's your basic pwr supply.
You said there is clicking, where is it coming from? Is your foot on the brake?
The folks here will find it, They are all well knowledged.
A Hard reset will reset ECU/TCM to factory settings, not alot of other stuff (basically discharges ). Does anyone know if this affects the security module?

Take a few days off from the car. Come back to it later. Perhaps you missed something.
I had a Chevelle I bought back from inlaw. I drove it several times through the years, no issue.
I bought it back and twice before I left to drive it 350 miles home it would not start. I was like WTF. We replace plugs, wires, cap and rotor, then went back to it and it started, got it home. When at home it would not start again. Looked it over, no idea. Then I looked at the dizzy again and followed the hot wire from it to the fuse box in car. I am taller then my inlaw, he never HIT THE WIRE LOOSE in the fuse box with his foot. I am taller i was kicking it loose when I got in the car. I found that and fixed it, no more issue.
Sometimes it is right in front of us but we are so fed up we miss it.
That said, we are talking about a Jag. ha ha ha

My son seems to think it might be the alternator. It's the original but it checks out ok.
