power fold gone....
Having just fixed the door ajar issue (micro switch) i have now lost the power fold function and it seems the memory function on the mirrors, seat and steering wheel memory still function as do the all the functions on the drivers door switch pack, barring the power fold. When the door latch issue first arose i thought it might be the door control module, so i replaced it. Obviously that was not the issue but i am wondering if this has caused the problem i now have as the mirrors were fine before. Does the module control any of the mirror functions ?. I checked the part no's matched, it was a used part i bought. Any thoughts on this will be much appreciated. Many thanks. Anthony.
Possibly.
It's the seat control modules that do the work, but the instructions come from the drivers door control module (the wonders of networking)
'Fold flat' mirrors is a programmable 'Convenience feature' so it may be that the replacement module doesn't have that set?

Did you disconnect the battery?
When I worked at the dealer sometimes I would forget to disconnect the battery and replace a door module or driver's switchpack and windows would not function or other problems. Then I would remember to perform the HARD RESET. Everything back to normal.

Does the positive cable stay on the battery when touching the earth lead onto the positive pole?
