Default Pre 2006 XKR/8 Interesting Sat Nav DIY update video

I have the old Alpine Navigation in my 04 XKR - a real nightmare that I have been looking at "fixing" and came across this great video of a guy retrofitting a Garmin SatNav unit to his pre 06 XKR.
Might just give this a go myself. It looks dead easy. Not the best video quality as he used a phone but pretty good all the same showing where screws and clips are that hold the glovebox and dash pieces in place. He goes on to nicely cover the old sat nav button holes with speaker grill mesh, worth a look I reckon...nice hands free kit done on the DIY level. My kind of video for sure.

Trev, you're in the wrong forum. You want the X100 forum. This one's for 2006.5 +

Oh sorry Sean, newbie here! Shall I delete it and redo or can I transfer this over to correct one?

This site helped me out after I got my XK8. Of course I felt the need to progress to the next body style. Mine was a non-supercharged 4.0. Had I the XKR back then I may still have it now. (along with the newer one)
