Default Rear Half shaft and hub question?

Recently my wife had to go fourwheeling and hopped two curbs on the passenger side to keep from getting hit. When I got home to look at the car here is what I found. The passenger front tire had a 1.5" gouge in the side wall of the tire, cords showing outer edge of rim scared 3" in length.
Passenger rear tire scuffed at two points, 180 degrees apart, rim scuffed as well about 3" each. So I'm sure its just a matter of time before the rear sidewalls start to buble on this tire. No body damage at all on the passanger side. She said on the drive since the incident she is hearing a new rattle or noise. So I begin to look further. I have an after market under axle exhaust on the car and I car shake this passenger side and get a rattle without to much effort. Then with the car on the ground I grab the rear wheel and feel around it then when I grasp the top of the tire and pull towards me it moves!
Almost like the lugs are loose. So me being a nut I go to the drivers side and pull on the top of the tire towards me same thing happens.

To quote the line from the movie," Risky Business", What the @#%& !

Any Ideas!

Can I get a little love here!

Come on guys go out and grab your rims and give them a tug. Just go to the rear of your car, grab the back side of the tire on the top and pull towards you. Let me know if it moves. You do not even have to jack up the car. Go ahead and but on a pair of gloves it won't matter. It will either move or not.
Let me know what you find.

Thank you and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Why because we own Jags, and we thank them every opportunity we can.

I would help but know little to nothing about the suspension. I would recommend having it looked at by someone you trust to give you the evaluation you need. At first I was going to suggest the universal joints in the rear, you have 2 per wheel. But when you went to the front you lost me. Good Luck in what you find, but please let us know the end results.

the upper rear control arm bushings as well as the hub carrier/trailing arm are very prone to bending and bushings collapsing. Get it looked at on a lift by someone that knows what the ^&%$ theyre doing, not like the idiots that fixed the wrecked 09XFR Im working on right now with kicked out front subframe, tires mounted wrong, trans not filled and shifting wrong. mismatched white paint....need I say more?

Mine doesn't have any play in the rear dad, a competent mechanic should be able to diagnose it. Not sure if you'll find any service recommendations in the regional areas, but good luck, and post back when you get some results. If in doubt, go to the dealer.

The important thing is wifey is ok, and body is intact on the car. Suspension parts can be replaced/repaired.

Dealer or a tire/wheel chain can have those rims repaired and refinished good as new for about $130 ea, don't sweat that.

So here is the deal. I have new tires ordered I assume I should have this looked at prior to mounting them on the car.

Them mount them and then have a complete alignment.

I am 3/4 thru the wear on the michilins about .180 tread left all around.

Without question you should have it looked at and fixed before you mount the new tires.

Still waiting for my tires to show up. But have an appointment with the dealer on Friday. I'll keep all posted.

Suspension and all of the parts are fine car aligned without issue. Im not sure the service writer was able to articulate the rear wheel issue with the tech but I'll ask them when I pick up the car and show him exactly what I was able to do with the rear tires.

As far as the tires go I just put on Bridgestone Turanza Serinity 245/50 R17. mount, balance, plus road hazard, out the door for 981.00.

Just FYI.
