Cool rear seat

hello forum, any info. onhow to take out the rear seat of 2001 conv. xk8...need to take out everything to drill out a circle in the rear panel to get to sender unit. ( don't want to pull out tank ).

Before you go too far, do a search for the sender and find a drawing. You will find that is on the back side of the tank, access in the trunk. The tank needs to be almost empty to do it.

Guess I don't need to caution you on this approach. It can be done, but has its danger/damage element.

tks but the sender is on the top of the tank on the 2001 and has to come out about maby 8" or so... would have been nice if it was in that spot !!!!!!!!!

tks jag#4 i printed out the instructions for the seat... now just have to get the nerve to take everything apart and put it back together....lol

I even checked the sender location at one of the parts suppliers, and I was still wrong.
Every time Jaguar makes an improvement it's more difficult to work on.
