Rear wheel arch rust repair
RD, you have one of the best sealers made. Hard to get in this country called Bear Coat or Bar Coat, used the last I had on the Spit6 and the can is gone. A yellow color and feathers great.
Oh, Job well done and sorry you had the wrinkles.

I hadn't planned to document the other side but one part of the job was a bit different so here are the pics of repairs to the end of the sill.
Rotten metal cut out.

First patch.

Welded in.

Next patch.

Welded in.

Folded over the edge and the last part to be patched.

All welded up.

I sprayed in some zinc primer as I was going and there are a couple of access holes where I will pump in some of this cavity wax.

Last little problem area for the left hand wing. I noticed this last year, ignoring it didn't make it go away.

Lucklily the seal round the top edge of the wing pulls out easily.

The seal seems to have been stuck in with silicone sealant, I wonder if that is original?

Close up of the rust.

After a lot of scraping and sanding I had this.

Then I painted the area inside and out with epoxy primer with a very small brush.

What a pita!
