I know it's silly, but I saw my first X100 Series Coupe since I bought my car in November of 2017. That was quite a long dry spell!

better still, I actually got to wave back when I honked!

I can't remember the last time I saw another x100 on the road.

I think that is the part I like the best about owning one.

I know what you mean, not too many around here either. I loved watching my lady drive mine home one evening, I followed in a other car. Wow I thought realizing how darn good looking these cars are!

i not only had no interest in a British car, but this one in particular never caught my attention....then my cousin, who owned it since new, insisted I buy it off him , he felt I would enjoy messing with it...as a project car....Caught me by surprise...I do find the car enjoyable to behold. I began to become infatuated with it within moments of ownership, as I have repaired things and driven it the feelings grow. The other day a guy who lives in my neighborhood stopped his walk, I have never spoken to him before, he just wanted to tell me he loves to walk by the car, he purposefully walks my block with the hope to see it parked in front of the house. I have never had that happen before...he owns suv's. i find that interesting.

Great story, hirev. Reminds me of my youth, when I used to engineer my routes to pass by cool cars, to admire them. One in particular comes to mind, a silver BMW 507 with the ultra-cool and rare Rudge knockoff wheels, in West L.A. Wow, that was about 55 years ago!

I have a neighbor who sounds similar. He's always asking me about my Jaguar, like where do I get parts ? I'll say "Rockauto", he'll say "where ?", I'll say "on-line". Anyway, the guy doesn't know cars, he drives a Chrysler and can't even check his own oil, but he loves the look of my car.

We have owned my wife's 2006 XK8 since early February 2012. For the first few years after we purchased her car, I would see three or four other XK8s/XKRs per month driving around our general area. But for the past couple of years, I see perhaps three or four other XK8s/XKRs per year. While admittedly there were never very many of them, they seem to be a slowly-vanishing breed in our neck of the woods. I wonder what they are being replaced with by owners who do not DIY and had to pay a dealership or an indie shop to maintain and repair them....

I haven't seen a coupe or 'vert other than mine in about a year. These are becoming rare indeed.

Echoing what was said before, back when I would stay at dad's house and washed my Anthracite XK8 'vert, a toddler and his dad would pop around. The kid would shout "it's a beauty".
