Angry Rear windows go down by themselves!

2001 XK8 Convertible - car was running fine. Turned engine off for 1 minute. Attempted to restart, and would only run at about 300 rpm for a few seconds and quit. Tried several times with same result. During these attempts, rear quarter windows went down by themselves.

Waited 1 hour and tried again. Car started and ran normally. Drove on highway for 10 minutes, and rear windows again went down uncommanded. Engine continued to run normally.

Codes showing: P1000 & P1111

Should I call a Priest?

Yes!

Completely unexplained electrical issues are best explained by battery voltage. Alternator/battery?

You have several things that will control your quarter windows your roof button and door key but it all goes back to the body processor. You also indicated an unusual restriction with your engine running and this process goes back the one of many processors. Before you call the priest check your battery to see if it has a full charge and tell us how long has the car been sitting and unused. If the battery is good and as much as I hate to say this remove the battery ground terminal leave it off for a few moments then reinstall. When you remove and install your battery lead try to do it without creating excessive static. You have computer modules on board that are sensitive to voltage fluctuations. Please let us know if the problem continues.

Using the 'one touch' method of the roof switch will lower your windows entirely like your regular door windows...could be a bad switch, or short.

I think Matt is correct on the window question.
In the first year I had this car, the windows went down three times. The last time they went down, I realized I had accidentally bumped the switch. No problems since.

I had the same thought but the mention of the other problem I felt this was a good start. These cars seem to do strange things.
