Hey all,

Can the rearview mirror from the 2004-2006 MY XK8s be used as a direct replacement for the 1998-2002 MY XK8? Are there differences in the wiring harness or mounting hardware? My rearview's autodim is busted and I am finding the later MY replacements to be cheaper than the earlier ones on ebay.

Marty, I know that different years had different options. I had the same problem on my '98, and the end I used these guys.

Radar-Mirror

I mailed my mirror to them, and it was back one week later working perfectly. This helped me to know that the mirror is from my own car. Two years later and it is still working perfectly.

Wow, that's cool. Did you get any of those gauges built into your mirror?

Yeah, I came across this name a few times on this forum. Thing is, it would be less expensive to get one of those newer ones on ebay.
